Good things come to those who wait… so thank you to all of you for being so incredibly patient with me, and giving me time to put together this post that legitimately makes my heart smile. This shoot was a collaborative effort by a group of fantastic suppliers who gave of their time, talents and treasures to create something magical. Something even better than I had dreamed of!
The vision for this shoot came about from my obsession with Rent the Runway, and not having a specific occasion to wear this incredible Cynthia Rowley gown. So instead of wait for the perfect occasion, we teamed up with some wonderful local Bostonites and made our dream a reality (and captured it all on film – thank you KAngell Photography and Jessica Herndon).
We had this amazing location at the Boston Public Gardens that quickly became a favourite spot of Rohan and I to unwind and relax. We thought, what better place to shoot a glam couple’s shoot (or styled elopement shoot). With our A-Team of vendors, we had a delicious cake by Emily Jones, a blush peony bouquet created by Poppies Floral Design & Styling, our very own event stylist who tied everything in together from Esme Isolde, and even themed stationery by Becca Joas… all of which tied in perfectly with our vision.
The dress was rented through Rent the Runway and jewelry was donated by BHLDN, creating the most ethereal look, better than anything I could have hoped for. My hair and make-up was transformed by Tiffany Cantin, into a classic yet romantic venture, completed with some twisted braids and soft curls. I just adored how it all came together so naturally and really gave off all the “romance vibes” I had hoped to pull from.
Although, we didn’t really elope, the aim of this shoot was to provide inspiration for a classic, yet contemporary wedding/special event… which I can honestly say I think we nailed! Rohan and I are in love with the photos and how much it represents our relationship and love for each other. Without getting too mushy, we cannot wait to pop a few of these photos up on our bedroom wall to remind us of all the fun we had shooting this together… and the amazing people we were fortunate enough to meet along the way!
What do you all think of the styled shoot? How would you describe it in one word… I’d love to know (comment below)!
A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO ALL THE WONDERFUL SUPPLIERS
