I can’t even begin to explain how much I have “fallen” in love with Autumn! Being Australian, we just don’t quite get to experience the four seasons like the rest of the world. Watching the leaves change colour is truly a sight to see.
We’ve only been living in New York for nearly two months and I have to be honest, I am loving it! It is in every way how I had imagined it would be, yet I find myself surprised and intrigued by so many things, at the same time.
A few weekends ago, while my parents were visiting, we took a day trip out to a beautiful place known as Lake George. It was roughly 30 minutes away and is absolutely stunning! The lake, hence the small towns name, was breathtaking. The little town was so quaint and had just closed for the season, the week before we arrived, so we practically had the town to ourselves!
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to grab a pile of leaves and throw them in the air. I hope you enjoy some of the photos. They don’t quite seem to do it justice, but believe me, it was such a perfectly beautiful landscape.
We will definitely be visiting again in the winter, when the lake freezes over (apparently they do car racing on it when its frozen?!) Every city looks so different in each season… we’re looking forward to experiencing our white Christmas soon!
