Where do I even begin on our Boston trip? I don’t know where to start… probably one of the most beautiful locations we have ever visited was the Massachusetts State House. Not just in Boston, but from memory, everywhere we’ve ever travelled (ok… it’s tough to beat Paris, but you get my drift)!
It took a little longer than anticipated to get these posts up for you, so my apologies. We had a million computer issues while we were travelling (and even now that we are home our laptops have not been performing how they should). One part of me is frustrated, the other part is over it and ready to buy a new Macbook! Wink, wink, Rohan…
Boston is full of so much history, the buildings, stores, parks all tell a story… a beautiful one too! Rohan and I didn’t know what quite what to expect when we headed off on his business trip (which was a full blown vacation for me by the way). But once we arrived, we didn’t want to leave. EVER! Haha. It literally ticks all the right boxes for us both. It’s a big enough city that it has amazing food/restaurants around every corner (and lots to choose from). It has beautiful parks (dog friendly too), cute streets and buildings that make up the majority of the city’s appeal, and very friendly Bostonites everywhere we went.
The State House was definitely a highlight for us. Beautiful gardens, a cute little seating area, monuments and tributes and just plain gorgeous architecture everywhere (especially the marble staircase which I adored)! We didn’t get to do all the touristy stuff this time round, but we will be back in July to explore Boston some more for a couple of days.
This casual but chic look was perfect for exploring. A comfortable pair of nude block heels were a great choice for walking around the streets of Boston, while keeping the look clean and a little more ‘elevated’ than flats or sandals (pun fully intended). I get really excited when I find an outfit like this one that is both fresh, simple, clean and equally cute. It’s so easy to change up, dress-up, dress-down, accessorise with and experiment with, as it’s basically a blank canvas.
I’m also having a bit of a love affair with neutrals at the moment. As you can maybe tell by the tones in this look. The great thing about this colour palette is that goes with ALL skin tones, all hair/eye colours, it’s great! Try it out for yourself, and let me know how you go (comment below)…
