Merry Christmas to all my lovely Blush readers! From both Rohan & I, we wish you the merriest of Christmases… we hope you all have enjoyed this special day together with family and loved ones.
We have had an amazing day! All my family have come over from Cambodia for Christmas and New Years, my parents and brothers, and my sisters both came along for the festivities as well. It was our very first Christmas together (Rohan & I) since we got married. So we decided to host Christmas for my side of the family this year… and we put on quite the spread!
See below a snapshot of our day, mainly decorating and food (desserts)… after lunch we all just chilled out, had long awaited catch ups, laughed a lot and watched The Grinch – an old family tradition. Then we put the camera away and focused on creating memories rather than capturing them…
Our menu included a home roasted paprika and garlic chicken, thai sweet chilli prawn skewers, wombok salad, potato salad, salt roasted potatos, fresh prawns and cocktail sauce, alongside some turkish bread and balsamic glaze.
For dessert, we had a nice variety of sweets, the centrepiece for the table was our awesome Tome white chocolate and coconut naked cake (decorated by yours truly with fresh flowers). I also baked a voilet crumble cheesecake, white chocolate coconut truffles and gingerbread men.
My family was so thrilled to be spending Christmas at our place this year (as were we to have them here). It really was such an awesome day, and we truly hope your Christmas was too!
