I cannot even begin to describe how much fashion and styling has shaped my life. It’s become a part of me, an expression, a way to channel my mood and “wear it on my sleeve”. Speaking of which, that was the very thing that captured my attention when I saw this beautiful mix-matched pink ensemble. The delicate, yet flirty and almost-bell-sleeves.
Now, this dress by Diane von Furstenberg (which I rented through Rent the Runway) is not my typical pick. When I wear pink, I often choose softer palettes that are not so outspoken. But I kept adding and removing it from my shipment, unable to make up my mind, until I bit the bullet and clicked “SHIP”! Haha. And I must say, I do not regret it!
Originally when I received this dress, I thought, “How the heck am I going to style this?” But when I placed this dress on my upcoming-content rack, it coincidentally sat right next to my straw hat. So this dress can literally speak for itself. it knew what it wanted to be worn with and made it happen!
I also recently was gifted these gorgeous (and super comfortable) black strappy sandals from Charming Charlie! So they were the obvious choice when I worked out I was incorporating the boater hat, which has a minimal black band around the width. I have been so super spoiled of late, with special deliveries from Charming Charlie – they have such a great affordable range of goods, and I love how they color code their stores and site (for ease of shopping)!
Saratoga Springs has really begun to surprise us with it’s hidden gems… This building was built in the 1800’s and I love that the older homes have so much character!
Each day we try to walk a different way home from our shoot locations, and each time we’ve done it we’ve found somewhere new to shoot the next time! I love the history and the architecture this city oozes. It makes my heart smile to call such a beautiful place “home”.
