To celebrate Thanksgiving this year, our family is keeping it pretty low-key. With our family spread all across the world, in multiple locations in Australia, and parents in India, it becomes very difficult to get everyone together. So we thought, this year, we would keep things small and spend our time together, just our new little family.
With Everley being 8 months old (already – wow!) she is crawling around, climbing up on our furniture and being an all-round handful, staying home sounded like the best option. Our plan is to cook up a small turkey and potatoes, eat ice-cream for dessert and enjoy the small things in life, like being together and celebrating our new found “familyness” – just the three of us.
We’re not even going to the trouble of doing up the table, or decking the house out with Thanksgiving cheer, just my husband, my baby and me, together. No fancy clothes, or getting dressed up. Just a comfy cozy lilac sweater, jeans and a clean house. That’s all I want.
I am so thankful for the opportunity we have been given to live in Nebraska. Never did we think this is where we wanted to end up, but God had a plan and as a result Rohan landed a job he absolutely LOVES and we have found a home in Omaha. Who would have thought? We have a lot to be thankful for this year… and we are taking the time to really enjoy one another and be grateful for all we’ve been blessed with.
From our family to yours, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
