Our first day in Vegas was quite a lot of fun… the sun was out, we were well rested after our excessive sleep in, and we were excited about all the new things we had yet to discover.
It was so nice to wear “normal” clothes again. I think this kind of weather is my favourite, a bit chilly but nothing too full on, a bit of sunshine and some great company… We ventured out to a casino called The Mirage, where we discovered the most amazing beverage known to man-kind.
It was called the “Mother Fluffer”… one part toasted marshmallows, the other part vanilla bean ice-cream, blended together to create the most heavenly thing on earth. A delicious milky thickshake!
Needless to say, we went back the next day to get another one!
We went out for dinner to a place called “Lemongrass” at ARIA Resort & Casino. It was an authentic Thai cuisine and it was scrumptious. It was a beautiful restaurant setting and the service was brilliant. One of the things we found so great while travelling through the States, was the quality of their customer service.
Vegas did treat us well, in that we didn’t have any organised plans, so we were able to just chill out a fair bit during the days and be a little spontaneous. We really enjoyed our time here to break up the trip between NYC and LA… although time seems to fly by, and we were back on a plane before we knew it!
